I am a Postdoctoral Fellow working in a multi-disciplinary project with Professors Baolin Deng, Bill Buttlar, Zhen Chen, and Oliver Giraldo-Londoño since Jan-2023 in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Missouri. The project deals with the experimental characterization and numerical modeling of high-performance asphalt pavements modified with post-consumer recycled plastics. I received my Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from Zagazig University in March 2021. The topic of my Ph.D. dissertation was “Strengthening Composite beams using external post-tensioning technique.” My research interests lie in the area of sustainability and the use of environmentally friendly and recycled materials and their various applications in structural engineering. Prior to coming to the University of Missouri, I was an Assistant Professor at The Egyptian Russian University in Cairo, Egypt.
